The Amateur Astronomers Association of Princeton, Inc. (AAAP) holds its fifth session of the Public Lecture Series 1996-1997 on Tuesday, January 14 at 8 p.m. in Peyton Hall, Princeton University. Dave Dunham of the International Occultation Timing Association (IOTA) will be the featured speaker. His topic is entitled "The Calculation and Observation of Asteroid Occultations." The IOTA maintains a comprehensive system for tracking asteroids, and uses this data to study the size, shape, and orbital parameters of the asteroids.
